IL Hunger Coalition
The Illinois Hunger Coalition (IHC) is a statewide organization committed to ending hunger by addressing its root causes through economic and racial justice. Their work centers on grassroots organizing, expanding access to poverty‑reduction programs, increasing federal and state resources for low‑income communities, and empowering individuals to become advocates and leaders.
For IHC’s annual Paul Simon Public Service Award Dinner, I designed the invitation and Save the Date postcard, building on their established brand system while elevating the visual presentation for this signature event. Working in Illustrator and InDesign, I incorporated the organization’s color palette and typeface, using gradient textures and a compelling image of a child to convey both urgency and hope. The final pieces delivered a cohesive, mission‑aligned visual narrative that supported the event’s purpose and strengthened IHC’s overall brand presence.
